an adventure*

art installations throughout - curated by Juxtapose

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco; media and photography passes galore!  A total dream come true.  I mean, seriously!  Working as a Metromix Photographer ~ capturing people throughout the festivities along with getting up close to the bands (access to the "Photographer Pit" for the first 3 songs!  I was in heaven.  Working along side some major big leagues I felt pretty small, but that didn't stop me from pushing my way to the front to get the shots.

I think I'm still on a high from the whole experience.  One of my favorite movies is "Almost Famous" and I texted Tim on Saturday afternoon from the "Media Tent" while drinking a free beer and enjoying the "Black Keys" that I in fact felt like this was my "Almost Famous" moment.

I could go on and on...  I'm really grateful to have had the opportunity to be at the event and to capture the truly amazing moments.  Juxtapoz curated the amazing art installations through out and they were not to be missed.  Intel had a totally rockin cave that people were crazy partying at along with getting airbrushed.  I wasn't aware of the "art" aspect of the whole event until now and man, it was beautiful.  Tons of hula hooping going on through out too...there are some very talented peeps out there.  I am totally crushing out on the LA indie band "Cosmic Suckerpunch" ~ a new favorite for sure.

A few shots are in my portfolio..otherwise you can see a handfull of them here.  Parouse both Friday and Saturday ~ some great people, bands, art and more!

And hey, if you know of any bands who'd like a photographer...I'm their girl!  Hoping to do more of this for sure!
